Sting, formerly known as Gordon Sumner, wrote, performed, played bass and sang on

a haunting song know as Mad About You.

I went on a search for the PRECISE tempo map of the song, not a number some site that I won’t name wanted to [REDACTED], but decided to just blame their sloppy work of ‘volume volume volume.’

Of songs. This is a theory to use and the list of songs used to illustrate the feel of a sped are vastly LIMITED.  Once you have 615K+ songs, almost none of which you measured yourself, you have a football field pile of peanut butter and jelly sandwiches.

Yeah, they all taste ok, but not much there in the way of something you couldn’t have made in your kitchen without coming on to a football field of peanut butter and jelly sandwiches for.  The songs on this site are kept UNDER 1,000 visible at any time.  All the speeds were measured and vouched for here.  And if you knew the programs and labor intensive and, frankly, repetitively dull nature of the work of meanspeed® music, you might come here to find something that doesn’t have a loose number based on flawed algorithms backing it up.

Haley Reinhart Sings House Of The Rising Sun on American Idol – Tempo Breakdown with Maps and Frequencies of B.B. King Style Tempo Rubato: No Drum Machine Required.

On May 3, 2011 Haley Reinhart sang THE HOUSE O THE RISING SUN on FOX® tv’s program called American Idol®.  She gave a unique performance, with a median expected tempo of 61.7 beats per minute.

So said, Haley began the song as a ‘torch song,’ with the second measure going as low as ~38 beats-per-minute.  Within 30 seconds, the song stabilizes at around 60-64 beats per minute.  This performance was right out of a B.B. King performance NON-book – raw, natural talent, NO DRUM MACHINE REQUIRED with tempo rubato taken to an extreme *without* the slightest bit of kitsch or camp.

Special thanks to an Angel Investment that is moving the APPLICATION of the concepts of being the master of your OWN speed. We are overwhelmed, and hear you when you say, “Why don’t you open up a place where we can go in and TRY the application of your hypothesis.” I had to call back the next day to make sure I had not dreamed that.
