Massive Attack “Teardrop” – Tempo breakdown, free bpm maps from Princeton | Theme used for FOX® tv show HOUSE, M.D,® – the Most Perfect Introduction to Drama song ever? Meanspeed=77.0 BPM

The show House, M.D.® originated on Fox® television.  After an event in the opening scene which sets up the plot, the theme TEARDROP by Massive Attack from their 1998 album Mezzanine plays for about 30 seconds.

The speed of the song is almost precisely 77.0 beats per minute and sets up the most haunting mystery show about medicine that I have ever seen.  The song is surreal, as the television show.  The song has a mysterious yet relentless pace, as the show. The average beat in quarter note is about 0.77912 seconds.

With a cast of High Laurie, Linda Edelstein and Omar Epps in front, I have become pleasantly addicted to it.  The fact that, as Governor Palin might say, “I can see what *would be* the Princeton-Plainsboro Hospital from my backyard!” (true).

In fact, the Princeton hospital is excellent, but it is not very big and has no special unit as suggested by the show and so I cannot see above the surrounding buildings to even see the hospital.  Make no mistake though: the program is an excellent reflection of the laser brainwaves that seem to soar all over this part of New Jersey, be it  Thomas Edison, John Nash, Alexander Graham Bell, Clarence Clemmons and Bruce Springsteen, Albert Einstein or, of course, Mayor Cory Booker of Newark.
