Comments on: Little Martha – Duane Allman’s only completely solo song. Calibrations, contemporary tempo maps, free of charge of course, with some the only real Little Martha speed online, anyway. I was curious, which is basically how I chose the songs.

Tempo is to music as nudity is to sex, or as the weather is to the news. The mean speed is derived from √1 minute*10^-1 or the square root of three fifths of one second, √3/5" - the Universal Speed of Indecison. What's in it for *you*? If we control our mental speed, we control our mood. Emotion is simply a predictable frequency.

That which I suggested sounded wrong were the attempts to use the capo or note use open tuning at all. I'm a pecussion man - piano, and all forms of rattles and eggs and snare drums, I secretly am in love with the ProMark tambourine sticks! Hot rod sticks on the rocks outside - not so bad with a system to blast along with! But I know guitar tuning is LWAYS a compromise. I had my Yamaha 6-string once tuned to an ordinary open-G: DGDGBD. My guitar literally sang and buzzed electrically for an hour - but only in G. Few people understand that equal temperament is *always* a compromise in general. Thanks for an appropriate and cool

Actually the reason it may sound wrong to you is because the song is slightly sped up from how it was recorded. If you listen to the version from the Dreams boxset, it as its original speed/pitch and with bassist Berry Oakley's track intact.

I just found this site and find it to be very facsinating as I read the conjecture page...
